Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Original articles
They refer to the results of original research that has been completed or is in progress and that has not been partially or totally published. Their length will be between 3,000 and 4,000 words. At least 10 bibliographical references must be detailed, maximum 5 years old since publication or edition, a special condition for this type of article. When it comes to authors of books considered classics, these will be considered in the bibliographical reference item without any restriction.
This type of article is prepared from research results, which must include the description of the question that motivated the research, objectives, methodology design, results and conclusions as key elements in the summary and part of the development of the document. At least 15 sources of consultation must be recorded in the bibliography.
Review articles
This refers to bibliographical review texts; it consists of the interpretation or explanation of a topic of current interest and social interest with philosophical, political, social, cultural, technological, economic, administrative, among others, content. Its length will be between 3,000 and 4,500 words; the primary purpose will be to summarize, analyze and/or discuss some scientific aspect. At least 30 bibliographical references must be detailed, maximum 5 years old from publication or edition, a special condition for this type of articles. When dealing with authors of books considered classics, these will be considered in the bibliographical reference item without any restriction. The articles may also be reflections or essays, original texts based on theoretical reflections from an analytical, interpretive or critical perspective on a particular problem.
